Boring but important: GDPR.

You've had to read everyone else's privacy policy, what's one more!?
This week, big thanks goes to our...
Volunteer coaches for the most recent Adult Learn To Row: Cath Allaway, Jayne Brady, Merryn Conaway, Emma Doyle, Eva Ferlez, Sandra Gates, Paul Gray, Mags Johnson, Rachel Kornberg, Tom Meade, Anne Morris
Then too...
Cath Allaway for washing all the hi-viz vests, Clive Capel and Nick Coxhead for trailering to/from National Schools Regatta starting tomorrow, Geoff T for securing a grant to replace the engine on 'Jack' (yellow launch), and Dave Cox for continuing to sell obsolete rowing stuff which helps clear the boathouse and raises money for the Club - just this week as an example: selling a set of properly old macon sweep blades!

Rowing is regarded as a 'clean' (i.e. drug free) sport and British Rowing is working hard to keep it that way. To this end, we have been asked by British Rowing to host a 'Clean Sport' workshop for club members and parents of juniors. The workshop is booked for next week Tuesday 29 May, from 19:00 - 20:30*. It is entirely free, and delivered by certified UKAD Educators.

There is more to keeping rowing 'clean' than you might think, so especially to all those competing, do signup below to attend. Just 90 minutes of your time will give you the necessary awareness and appreciation that at any time you may be required to take a drugs test at an event - particularly a national one such as Masters Champs - it's not only for Olympians!

Who should attend? AthletesCoaches, Club Captains, Club Welfare Officers and Parents of Junior Athletes.

Book your FREE spot online

*This workshop takes the place of that evening's S&C session, but S&C will continue the following Tuesday. Signup for S&C in the usual place.

Hi-viz tops not hi-viz skin!
Whilst the weather threatens to hot up, this is a quick reminder to be prepared whatever the weather. Reusable water bottle? Check. Sunscreen? Check. Visor? Check. A change of clothes? Check! Bow-steer or single sculler? Got and got on your hi-viz? Check, check, check...

Not many of us like stinky clothes, so unless you intend to do a wash after every outing, please leave any club-issue hi-viz bibs to air. Better yet...

Got a CoW?
Check here or the image (right)
Spot an error? Just let me know

If you see you have yet to take the water safety questionnaire,
take a moment to take it now
Anyone working towards their CoW as a steersman - be that in bow, in a single and/or as a cox - must complete both parts 1 and 2.
