Walton & Weybridge Regatta: Volunteers, please

Thank you to all who signed up already. For anyone who has not, this is a final reminder to sign up, today please. The draw will be published shortly, but don't let this stop you. We will of course take account of when you are racing, so please signup now to say when and what you can do to help out - Saturday, June 8th. If not free on the day, you can help out still with Friday setup or cake baking.

Allocations will be made on Monday evening with email notification following shortly after. Many thanks in advance for helping to make the day a success.

For all members, asking all members to do one little thing here and one little thing there... This week's #justonemorething has certainly not gone unnoticed...
WEY To Boat: signed out?

#3 WEY to show your risk assessment

To all Risk Assessors (RA) (probably you, or unsure?) or if not you (yet), still take note so as to remind your crew-mates:

Now we have the rather neat magnetic whiteboard, it is more noticeable when you do not 'checkout' or sign out your boat before boating. As the way to show you have made your risk assessment, it should be easier simply to move across the corresponding card, having scribbled your name (unless your in your own single) and your estimated time of return (ETR).

To those who are good about checking out, thank you... Just remember to move the card to 'In' once back - or else we may send out a search party!

Of course, for any issues, you can log this by following this link, the QR code on the whiteboard, or just by navigating through on the WEY Hey! app*.

Coaches, also: when boating several crews, remember you, too, should show you have made your risk assessment. Again, simply move across all the corresponding cards to 'Out', note your name and ETR, next to the group of cards is fine, too. Once back, assuming all is well, remember to move the cards back to 'In'.
*There is a known (and reported) issue with the app, where it 'blanks out' or 'freezes'. A response and resolution from the developers (Beezer) is pending, but for now please try rebooting the app by closing it down completely, waiting a moment and reopening.

Many thanks...

To Graham Ca for continuing with some fairly extensive repairs to Another Wey, this time to its splash-guard or water-breaker... That part of the boat that goes to a point toward the bow and limits or 'breaks' water ingress to the boat.

To Nick for promptly attending to a couple issues arising with the much-used coaching launch, Jon - currently out of action whilst we await a part.
