Dear ISE ECP affiliates

I am working on several projects for the ISE ECP this year to support particular disciplinary groups
including the Cybersecurity teams, HDRs and the
data sensory groups, just to name a few. I am
always looking for ways I can support ISE ECP affiliates - feel free to contact me (Mark Sanderson)
if your ideas meet this platform's research priority areas: Data, telecommunications and sensors; Automation & Intelligence; Energy Production & Transformation; and Cybersecurity. You can find further details about the
priority areas by clicking here.

I received a great level of interest from affiliates for the
2019 ISE ECP CDF round and am really excited about the proposals we received. Final assessments are now in and awaiting final approval by the ECP Directors and the ADVC, Research Capability. Recipients will be advised soon after this final stage and I look forward to how they will progress during the year. For those who missed out, I encourage you to try again during our next round.

Several interesting events are listed in this issue of the newsletter. The Biomedical and Health Innovation ECP is running the 'Healthy Ageing' Symposium on Monday 6 May. An exciting line-up of industry speakers and RMIT researchers will deliver talks on their current work on Healthy Ageing, an issue that is relevant to all. The 2019 Winter School in Mathematical & Computational Biology will take place from 1-5 July. I encourage you to think about supporting your students, HDRs and ECRs to attend this event.

If you are interested in submitting a grant on protecting the internet, Mozilla has opened its Research Grants 2019 with a closing date of 1 June.

We are always looking out for stories to add to our newsletter. If you are interested in sharing your research journey in our future issues, please contact us. Send us an email by clicking here.

Cheers for now,

Mark Sanderson

Researcher Portal:
Game-Changing for Researcher Support

The reviews are in and people are loving the new Researcher Portal. Following the first release earlier this year, some exciting new features have just been added including filters across Milestones, Publications and Project lists and enhanced visibility of contracts, and more.

The Researcher Portal is designed to provide one place for research information and support through the lifecycle of a project.

If you’re a researcher, please give it a try and let us know what you think via the Portal’s feedback tool.
