Happy Monday! I hope you all had a blessed Easter. My family and I were able to enjoy the Dillsboro hat parade on Saturday and then went to Newnan Georgia on Sunday to visit my grandmother. It is nice to start to get some normalcy back in our lives. 

As a reminder this week, Swain and Jackson County Schools are on Spring Break, however Macon County students have returned to the classroom. Not only are students back in schools, but students in 6-12 grades are now going all on the same days, which means more morning traffic. Give yourself extra time to navigate the roads and remember that there may be some new drivers on the roads. The bus routes may also be a little different while the schools work everything out so be cautious. 

Statewide litter sweep scheduled for next week

As part of its litter removal efforts, N.C. Department of Transportation crews, contractors and volunteers have now collected more than 3 million pounds of litter from roadsides this year.
