Secret Admirers

A curated selection of branding + design we didn’t create,
but that we really liked anyway.

Union Craft Brewing

"What isn't there to love about Union Craft Brewing? Competing in an incredibly crowded marketplace (every American city, including Baltimore, is crawling with craft brewers), Union has distinguished itself with a superior year-round product, perfectly conceived seasonal offerings, and... incredible design. From the packaging of local season offerings like Steady Eddie and Snowpants to their Union Hall & Beer Garden interior and exterior design, Union's design aesthetic achieves the rare feat of consistent branding that allows for remarkable variety. That commitment to great design elevates the Union brand above their many competitors."

The Space Between

"I always love illustrations that can tell a story in a single frame. This series about famous couples, illustrated by Yuuki Jia, beautifully captures the personalities of these legendary characters as well as the kind of relationship they had (Happy? Tragic? Complicated?). And filling the negative space between each person to create a golden “vase” is a very striking way to call attention to the tension between them."

What We’re Up To

"How about a little throwback? We designed and built in late 2020/early 2021. It was a pleasure to team up with such a creative and smart group of people to bring this one to life. Even better, it's always a pleasure to see a client continue to evolve the sight and use it as a very active marketing tool over time."

Our Creatives In the Wild

Our people make coming to work worth it. Here's what they've been up to this month outside the office.

Where's the Paw-ty At?

"As a huge dog lover and creative, I enjoy creating illustrated graphics of my friends and family’s dogs. It all started with a friend who wanted me to create beer labels for their wedding, using their three dogs as each of the three beer labels. Since then I have created stickers, mugs, wall art, Christmas ornaments, and more. It is my side hobby, a passion project."

Union Art Installations Create Beauty, Improve Pedestrian Safety in Baltimore Neighborhoods

Graham Coreil-Allen, founder of Graham Projects, partnered with residents and businesses to design artwork to strengthen the community. The artistic crosswalk enhances the importance of slowing down for pedestrian safety and creates a more inspiring public place. Engaging with the community to come together and work for the greater good makes their neighborhood a more beautiful and safer place.
