Pitkin County solar project complete
The completion of the Pitkin Solar Project is an important step on our Journey to 100% clean energy plan for our members. The plant is expected to generate enough electricity to power about 900 homes beginning at the end of October.

HCE crews replace power line poles in Glenwood Canyon
Replacing a power line pole in the canyon is no easy feat. The poles had to be lifted by helicopter and flown in from Gypsum, frequently with a lineman attached to the rope due to the inaccessibility of the terrain.

Toklat wilderness lodge renovation
HCE joins local sustainability leaders in revitalization project of the historic Toklat Wilderness Lodge. The plan is a net-zero building that will include a solar and battery storage system, a new micro-hydro plant and an air-to-air ground source heat pump.

We’ve been receiving reports once again of scammers claiming they work for Holy Cross Energy threatening to shut off your power unless money is exchanged immediately. Please rest assured that we will never make these sorts of phone calls. Here are some tips to help you stay safe from scammers:

• Don’t give out your personal or financial information in response to a request you didn’t expect
• Resist pressure to act immediately
• Stop and talk to someone you trust
