GRiSP 2 Kickstarter + Twitch.tv
We are running a Kickstarter crowd funding campaign which is already over 100% but w its still going for 3 weeks to reach interesting stretch goals. We are also starting a weekly GRiSP live coding stream on Twitch.tv to show you what we are making in or with GRiSP.
GRiSP Kickstarter well under way
We are making an improved version of the GRiSP board and are running a Kickstarter crowd funding campaign for that. You can find much more details on our GRiSP2 Kickstarter
page, a few highlights:
More RAM (128 MB), more powerful CPU (i.MX6), Wifi and
Ethernet on board.
We are using a System on Module which contains all the essentials to run Erlang/Elixir and allows much easier integration in your own hardware designs.
We added a few more "Early Bird" pledges especially for you right before we sent out this Newsletter
At the same time its software backwards compatible with the first GRiSP board on the Erlang/Elixir level. We will also continue to support the first GRiSP boards with future versions.
The larger CPU now gives you the choice of using Erlang or Elixir on our own GRiSP software stack which runs the Erlang VM directly on the hardware or use Elixir on Nerves which runs the Erlang VM as process 1 on top of a Linux kernel. We will also collaborate with the Nerves project to support their software update infrastructure not only for Nerves but also for GRiSP projects.
The project is over 100% already so it will happen for sure. We added as stretch goals a case for GRiSP 2 with PMODs plugged in and battery management (charging and running from the battery automatically)
