LEAVING CERTIFICATE RESULTS 2018
Very best wishes to all of our Leaving Certificate students who will receive their results on Wed 15 August 2018. Results are available at CBS Kilkenny from 9:30am and online later that day. We wish all of the Class of 2018 every happiness and success in their future lives.

BACK TO SCHOOL
We hope all members of the CBS Kilkenny school community have enjoyed a very good summer break and we look forward to meeting up again towards the end of August. We extend a special Céad Míle Fáilte to our youngest and newest members, our incoming First Year students. All the details regarding back to school dates, times, requirements are available on www.cbskilkenny.ie

THEN AND NOW! We have digitised the photographs which line the walls of CBS Kilkenny and we want to share them with you, to evoke memories of your time in CBS Kilkenny.

Were you a member of the winning Corn Laighin panel in 1976?
Or were you part of the All-Ireland Final Basketball team in 1999?

Did you complete your Leaving Certificate in CBS Kilkenny in 1992? Then maybe you can spot yourself here!

Maybe you also hurled for a few years before you left? Are you here in the 1988-89 hurling photo?

Were you part of Mr Stack's rugby panel in 2008-09? A memorable season!
Or did you complete your Leaving Certificate in 1994?

Were you an U14 hurler back in 1979? If so, are you in this photograph?

Or maybe you went to Germany in 1992? That was some trip!

Many thanks to Paul Lanigan for sending us these photos from the 1983 trip to Berlin.

This was a pretty special trip because it took place several years before the Berlin Wall came down. The Olympic stadium was the stadium that Jessie Owens famously won a gold medal in front of a very upset Hitler, and in the picture of the Brandenburg gate you can see the wall run right behind it.

The small group picture includes Alan McCormack who was goalkeeper on the CBS Kilkenny Senior Hurling team. Alan had to stay back in Kilkenny to play in a Leinster final against our near rivals, St Kierans -which CBS Kilkenny won! Alan was then flown into Tegal to meet up with the rest of the group where they got great accounts of the Berlin airlift and the Marshall Plan from Dermot Curran.

Fantastic memories there, many thanks again Paul!
