Partnership team changes
After 20 years at King's, including 6 years as Head of Partnerships, Christina Astin (left) is departing to develop her work as an education consultant. Previously Head of Science at the school she says "it's a wrench of course, but I know that partnerships are in very safe hands with Jane Murray (right), Geoff Nelson [Head of Science Outreach] and the commitment from the Headmaster and Governors. I'm so proud of the pupils and the value they place in building bridges with other schools and the community. I want to thank all my colleagues who helped to establish EKST, Canterbury Primary Science Partnership, Sounding Out and all the other collaborations that have brought so much to King's and the local community."
#FeelGoodFriday was a weekly feature of the term with activities shared across all East Kent Schools Together partners to boost well-being during lock-down. Check out one of the performances by our virtual choir, The Big Sing (click below).
Pupils volunteered to be pen pals and write letters to residents at a Canterbury care home. All were handwritten and really cheered up the recipients who had received no visitors during isolation.
