BOE Wants Your Opinions about Hiring the Next Superintendent

The Board of Education is in the process of searching for a permanent superintendent of schools, and we are reaching out to you for help. Hiring a Superintendent is among the most important functions a Board of Education performs, and we are committed to making the decision in partnership with our faculty, staff, students, families and community members. Below, please find links to a survey highlighting the qualities and characteristics you believe our next superintendent should possess in addition to what you think our next superintendent should know about our district and community.

This survey will be available until 8:00am on Sunday, January 31. Click on the links for the survey in several different languages: Superintendent Survey in English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Bangla, Portuguese

Please, share this message and survey with whomever you think might be interested in participating. As a reminder, we are also looking for people to serve on a Citizen’s Advisory Committee. Committee application deadline is Friday, January 15.

PSAT Test Offered on January 26

All 10th graders and 11th graders who did not take the PSAT in October may take the PSAT at NRHS on Tuesday, January 26. To help the staff prepare, students are asked to indicate that they plan to take the PSAT on January 26th by filling out this Google form through the student’s email account. Students do not need to register for the exam.

Students will receive an email the week before the test, indicating what entrance to use on test day. Students should arrive at 8:15am to their designated entrance with student ID, pencils, and a calculator. The students will have a temperature scan at the entrance and then will be directed to the testing room at that time. All staff and students will be required to wear a mask and be seated at least six feet apart. The exam takes approximately 3 hours. Students who have accommodations approved by College Board will get an email the week before indicating their specific room assignment.
