Settlement Spotlight: $4.5 Million Recovery for Injured Worker

Kevin O’Brien has secured a $4.5 million recovery on behalf of his client, an injured worker who suffered a partial amputation to his left leg when he was struck by a large material handling machine.  O’Brien’s lawsuit alleged the product should have been equipped with mirrors – which were made “optional” instead of standard equipment.  The mirrors cost .002% of the total cost of this nearly $50,000 machine, yet did not come as standard equipment.

“The work done in this case ensures that companies that sell material handling equipment, as well as their customers who employ our men and women in the workforce, do not needlessly endanger workers by failing to install inexpensive and safe equipment on their machines which prevent unnecessary and catastrophic injuries to workers who are simply trying to earn a living for their families.  When they fail to do so, Stampone O’Brien Dilsheimer will stop at nothing to hold them accountable in Court.” said Kevin O’Brien, lead counsel for the Plaintiffs.

Kevin was assisted in the case by his co-counsel, Daniel Stampone, Tyler Stampone, and James McNally, of Stampone O’Brien Dilsheimer Law.
