Good morning colleagues,
This week we are sharing details regarding upcoming meetings and various resources to support programs. A friendly reminder that these weekly announcements are a great place to share any community/agency events, resources and tools with fellow peers.

ExCEL is getting ready to ship N95 masks to all ExCEL After School Programs. In order to do so, we need an accurate count of all program staff. Please update the SFUSD EXCEL Lead Agency Staff 21-22 by March 14th, 2022. We are going to send masks based on the number count on the list.

Many sites have missed the STEAM Hub CoP trainings.  If you are at an Elementary/Middle school site and have not attended this month’s STEAM CoP training, please attend next week’s virtual meeting HERE. Please also update your email address in EMS, specially if there is high staff turnover.
I look forward to seeing you next week.
Karen Polk,
STEAM Hub CoP Manager

Student Nutrition Services:
As part of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) supper requirements, Student Nutrition Services Area Supervisors and staff will be periodically completing site monitoring reviews of the supper program. The site monitoring reviews ensure that we are in compliance and operating the program correctly. One component of the site monitoring review is collecting attendance numbers for your program. The review requires that we document the program attendance for the day of the review and the previous 5 days the program was in session. We are asking for your partnership and collaboration to provide us with this attendance information at the time of the review. The reviewer will let you know which days they need attendance numbers for. Providing this data at the time of the review allows for a smooth and efficient review process.
Please reach out to Hannah Smith, Child Nutrition Programs Manager ( with any questions.
