Roots of South Los Angeles Wellness Center Newsletter
Welcome to our Monthly Newsletter!
"Write it down on real paper, with a real pencil, & watch shit get real." - Erykah Badu. In late summer 2017, two brown girls decided to do just that. With a combined wealth of knowledge, education & passion for mental health, Roots of South LA was born. Since, we have started our monthly Womxn of Color Healing Circles & facilitate Self-Care Workshops for community organizations. We've also decided to start a Monthly Newsletter with the purpose of empowering our communities to reclaim their voices & mental health wellness. Our hope is to provide resources, holistic healing methods, and tips on how to increase overall wellness; mind, body & spirit. Join us as we begin the journey of healing our communities.
Mission Statement
"Our mission is to heal our inner city communities by providing holistic, culturally sensitive mental health services to those in need. Roots of South Los Angeles Wellness Center hopes to provide a safe haven by destigmatizing mental health and promoting community empowerment through education and advocacy."
