Hi <<First Name>>, thanks for supporting the Kesho Fund! Here's an update on what we accomplished together in May, 2019.

Our Books to Mwanza Schools project has reached a new milestone: 1006 new textbooks now purchased for Mwanza secondary schools since 2017!
These books are crucial in classrooms that are frequently overstuffed with twice as many students as they were built for and in some cases have only enough textbooks for 10% of the students to use at a time.
Providing new books in subjects such as English, Math, and Science helps schools make sure that their students are prepared to master course content and go on to change their communities and their worlds.
We pay about $5-15 per textbook and normally support schools with a grant of $500 worth of textbooks at a time with personalized shopping lists written at the schools themselves. Whereas we used to only be able to afford to buy books for a school every 3 months or so, in 2019 we have been able to afford to support a new school every single month so far. Thanks for helping us grow!
We couldn't do it with out all of your help. As we look toward improving the nutrition of our School Breakfasts Program and launching our next big project in school infrastructure in the coming months, we are reminded of how impactful your support to get us this far has been.
