Monthly Update: July, 2019

Hi <<First Name>>, thanks for all of your support so far in 2019! We are excited this month to recap some wonderful progress in all of our initiatives, but most significantly, to recap the launch of our latest project in school infrastructure - a new boys bathroom at Ibungilo Secondary School!

Monthly Highlight
This month, we were thrilled to launch our latest project in school infrastructure - a new boys' bathroom structure at Ibungilo Secondary School!

Although Ibungilo has 579 male students, there are currently just 3 toilets and 0 sinks available for these boys to share during the short break periods they have each school day. This promotes truancy and absenteeism as well as damaging the health, hygiene, and morale of our students. But not for much longer!

This month, we poured the foundation for a building that will add 7 toilets, a long trough urinal, 2 large hand-washing sinks, and a storage closet to alleviate these issues that our students have been dealing with for so long. Although the school will still need more buildings of this kind in the future, the one we're working on now will roughly quadruple the number of students who can use the facilities in a given period of time as well as offer the hand-washing sinks that are crucial for preventing the spread of germs and illness.

Thanks for a Great Month!

We couldn't do it without all of your help. As we move into our third school infrastructure project (and our work in school supplies and gender equity continues to expand), we are continually reminded of how lucky we are to have such a supportive base pushing us forward in all we do.

Nashukuru sana (gratefully),
