Happy August <<First Name>>!
It's crazy to think that Fall is just around the corner, and if you're a first-year gardener, then you'll soon learn that Fall requires a new strategy & approach. However, as long as you continue opening & enjoying our emails then you're certain to enter this next season well prepared. That's why we've put together a quick to-do list to help guide you and set you up for success!
Pull Weeds - We know this should be obvious, but this month you'll want to keep a watchful eye to remove weeds before they seed this month. Not only will your garden look pretty going into Fall, but you'll save yourself from having to clean up a weed-consumed garden next Spring.
Test Your Soil - Are you planning to grow a few Fall Favorites, but unsure if your Fall crops will thrive like they did this year? The best way to find out is to test your soil before going through all that outside work! Determine what nutrients are lacking and plan ahead for gardening success!
Start Fall Seeds - Ever notice how greens go up in price during the Winter? If you're looking to enjoy those crisp salads well into Fall, now is the time to start seeds for greens such as Beets, Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrots, and Kale! If you have a greenhouse then now is the best time to utilize it!
Happy Summer Farming!
