Virtual SAIL Classes
We LOVE to brag about our Alliance members! A partnership between ServiceSource Inc. and Fairfax County Neighborhood Community Services has created a Virtual Center for Active Adults. They offer a variety of fun activities such as games, discussion groups, trivia, exercise classes (including SAIL), caregiver focused discussion groups and much more!
The goal of the Virtual Center for Active Adults is to enrich the lives of adults in Fairfax County while combatting isolation. Participants can connect with peers, engage in a variety of activities, and discover useful resources. The Center offers live, interactive programs with opportunities to engage with other adults. All programs have a live facilitator, many of whom are recreation therapists that design and implement adaptations and modifications needed to support participants during the virtual activities. Programs can be watched live or on demand. For more information about activities and resources, please visit their website: https://bit.ly/NCSvcaa
This is a picture of SAIL leader Anita Chinyavong. The Virtual Center had 246 SAIL participants this past spring and summer...WOW!
