The innovative design of the PARKROYAL on Pickering is a perfect response to Singapore's climate. Located on a narrow site in the city's Chinatown district, the hotel showcases large and curvaceous sky gardens which are cantilevered at intervals between the blocks of hotel rooms. The design features extensive greenery, including green walls, water features and 15,000 square meters of tiered gardens. Other green features include rainwater harvesting for watering plants, solar energy for lighting of landscaped areas and incorporating natural ventilation and light throughout the hotel's design.
