As we have seen over the years, local leadership plays the determining role in the outcome of high-impact community decisions like open space acquisition, allocation of water resources, and the meaning of smart growth for our region.
Election participation is part of our Plan of Action, and getting candidates on the ballot so voters can have choices is the first critical step.
These five aspiring candidates for Prescott City Council asked us to announce where and when this weekend they will be collecting signatures to qualify as official candidates.
Phil Goode – mayor
Cathey Rusing – re-election for city council (4-year term)
Connie Cantelme – city council (2-year term)
Lois Fruhwirth – city council (4-year term)
Ted Gambogi – city council (4-year term)

Save the Dells is a state-level political action committee (PAC).
As a PAC we can expend much or all of our financial resources in support of or opposition to ballot initiatives, propositions, and candidates for public office.
The work we do is unique from 501(c)(3) nonprofits, who are prohibited from taking such actions.
Contributions to a PAC are not tax-deductible like those to 501(c)(3) nonprofits, but the dividends of these community investments are returned by victories that last a lifetime.
