Dear Friends,

Salvation is not by the works of the law, yet the blessings which are promised to obedience are not denied to those who follow Jesus. The curses of the law our Lord took away when he was made a curse for us on the cross. We do well to pay more careful attention to the revealed will of God in the scriptures and this will bring to us a more abundant and meaningful life. One writer said, "It will go well with us when we go well before God. If integrity does not make us prosper, dishonesty will not. That which gives pleasure to God will bring pleasure to us".

This Saturday our Family Service will take place as normal at 11.15am on Zoom and Facebook.  You may have questions about the Covid Vaccine. This Saturday at 3pm, the South England Conference of Seventh-day Adventist will host a special meeting to address concerns. You can attend via the links in the announcement (see larger image below) or via our GYL Zoom room.  You may also be interested in a webinar on the COVID-19 Vaccinations conducted by Loma Linda specialists in medicine and science, along with the GC Health Ministries Director, Dr Peter Landless at https://ghi.llu.edu/jan27

Tonight (Friday) at 8pm, after Adult Sabbath School at 7pm, we will watch the second instalment of the six part series on the Book of Daniel. Pastor Gary Kent from Australia will lead out in the series exploring the historical sections of the book of Daniel. On Monday at 7.30pm, we will continue our new series looking at the Apostle Peter's First Letter in the New Testament, believed to have been written from Rome, towards the end of his ministry.  All events will be shown in our GYL Zoom room.

Blessings to you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

- Pastor Mark Borrett

There will be a Special Church Family Fellowship with the Victorio Family on Saturday/Sabbath February 6th at 3pm

The Victorio family are planning to leave late March for their long-term mission trip to the Philippines. They are a completely self-supporting ministry, working side by side with the South Central Luzon Conference and other Conferences.  All expenses will be coming from their own pockets, with an estimate of £350-£400 per month living expenses for a family of five.  One-off donations or a monthly commitment, even from as little as £5 per month, will be greatly appreciated.
