Dear Friends,

You may be reading this today and your confidence is running in short supply. The tank is nearly empty.  The surprises keep rolling in, one after another. You may even feel trapped or caught.  Proverbs 3:26 is for you. It says that the "the Lord will be your confidence" (NKJV). Such confidence is never arrogant or proud, rather humble and compassionate. It understands how easily our foot can get caught, yet helps us to walk freely.

We can get stuck, even get in a rut. The NIV translation says, "For the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared". Having the right person at our side makes all the difference in life.  Nothing compares to walking with the Lord in life's ups and downs.  "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31 NKJV). The Apostle Paul says in Philippians 1:6 (NKJV) "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ".  Paul had confidence in the Lord.  "
Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the Lord our God" (Psalm 20:7 NLT).  How about you?

We continue to see positive trends on Covid-19 in the UK. We are preparing for resuming services at our church buildings. To reiterate the dates published in the last eNewsletter.
  1. From May 17th, Monday Night resumes at Great Yarmouth at 7.30pm.
  2. From May 22nd, Saturday/Sabbath resumes at  Lowestoft. This will include all Sabbath Schools, starting at 10am.
  3. From June 26th, Saturday/Sabbath resumes at Great Yarmouth.  This will include Sabbath Schools starting at 10am.
These dates have been carefully considered and agreed by our Church Boards because they allow for some social interaction between households or bubbles indoors.

I encourage you this weekend to start reading a new book of the bible. As we read God's word, we get to know and experience God in our lives. I know of no better way to each day build our relationship and confidence in the Lord. Reading the Old Testament can intimate people, but remember it foretells Jesus.  How about reading the Book of Proverbs in the Old Testament? It is found just after the Books of Psalms. It is part of what is called the wisdom literature. It is packed full of lessons that are for living.

Blessings to you all,

Pastor Mark
