Dear Friends,

Did you make any new year resolutions? If so I wonder how you are getting on? It certainly has been a very different start to the new year!  That is an understatement. I must admit that I gave up making new year resolutions some years back. For me, they normally meant less of some things and more of other things. You can probably guess what fits in each category. But there is one thing I do every new year. I choose a new daily bible devotional to read. This year I have chosen two, one for the morning and one for the night. They are already proving a great blessing. I encourage everyone to have a daily bible devotional reading.  Just as we need our daily food, we also need our daily spiritual food for a stronger personal relationship with the Lord.

The bible tells us that our God is a Promise Maker and a Promise Keeper. It says in 2 Corinthians 1:20 (NKJV) "For all the promises of God in Him (Jesus) are Yes, and in Him (Jesus) Amen, to the glory of God through us". This Saturday, during our Family Service at 11.15am, we will begin a new sermon series called “Promise Maker, Promise Keeper”. We will start by looking at the promise in Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV) “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”  Everyone is welcome on Zoom or on Facebook.

I would like to encourage all to watch the replay of the South England Conference Evangelism Expo held on-line last Sunday.  Click here to watch it.  Also take a look at the new Communicator on-line magazine (link below), where Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft churches are featured on pages 34-35.

Blessings to you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

- Pastor Mark Borrett
