Psalms 31:15 (above) was written by King David during troubled times. In a verse just preceding this one David writes "For I hear the slander of many; Fear is on every side; While they take counsel together against me, They scheme to take away my life". It is one thing to be slandered, but it is even more when they “take counsel together against me”. And yet in the midst of it, David affirms his faith in the Lord by saying "My times are in your Hands". This is more than a statement about the passage of time. It reveals a deep dependence on God for each new moment, each new day and each new decision in David’s life. Each with the potential for decisive turns for good or ill. It also implies an implicit prayer to be wise and recognise the times we live in (See 1 Chronicles 12:32; Esther 1:13). I would like you encourage you to pray right now these words of faith in the Lord, "My times are in your hands".
I am pleased to inform you that we have now received confirmation from the South England Conference of Seventh-day Adventists that our Risk Assessments for the Lowestoft Church is sufficient.
The next step is to implement the Risk Assessment, which will include some training and set a date to reopen. That implementation has already started. The photo shows all the signs that have been going up inside the building. The Board will meet next week to set the reopening date and I plan to communicate that in this Newsletter next Friday. Please continue to pray for the situation as it is very dynamic. We have all seen recent news that the spread of Covid is on the rise again.
I encourage you to read the rest of this Newsletter and click on the links to discover more articles of interest.
Blessings to you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
