Dear Friends,
If you question or doubt the whole account of Jesus resurrection, then you are in good company. So did Jesus disciples, at first. So much so that one of them is best known as doubting Thomas. But he eventually said to the risen saviour "My Lord and My God". Jesus replied "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed" (John 20:29). Jesus says that last sentence to you and me. So what say you? Do you believe? Is Christ risen or is Christ not risen for you? It is a critical question. If you are not sure, may I ask that you pray about it and ask the Lord to make it clear to you. He did to Thomas.

The empty tomb is the good news about Jesus as our risen Lord and Saviour. Without the empty tomb there is no good news and our faith is futile. The Apostle Paul says that “if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty” (1 Corinthians 15:14). But if Christ is risen, then our preaching must be full of Jesus and our faith overflowing.

This Sabbath / Saturday our Family Service at 11.15am will include a message from the Gospel of John on the good news of Jesus' empty tomb. There will also be a Children's Story.
Blessings to all of you,

Pastor Mark
