What does it mean to assemble together as a church in times like these? For the bible is clear in Hebrews 10:25, we should assemble together to encourage each other, and we should do this so much more
as we see the return of Jesus getting nearer! The words "so much more" are of particular import for these days. Let's be clear, the exhortation is for us to assemble together and not apart. We need to be intentional, determined and creative in fulfilling this command. We used to measure the assembling by who turned up inside the church building. That definition was blown away by Covid-19 as we became an online church in less than two weeks. This Saturday/Sabbath, we will reopen the Lowestoft Church building for a service at 11.15am. All are welcome and encouraged to come along. But we will assemble together as a church with people in the building, with people online, and even with some who will listen later online or via CD/DVD.
Joan Frost’s funeral will be on Friday, October 9th
at 12pm at Lowestoft Church. We are planning to livestream it on Zoom and Facebook, at the request of the family.
There is space for 15 people to attend from the church, given the number coming from Joan's family. Those officiating at the funeral do not count in the numbers. Please contact Pastor Mark if you wish to attend so we can make sure we don't go over 15. Because of the funeral, it has been decided that on Saturday/Sabbath, October 10th
, we will be back on Zoom for our Family Service at 11.15am out of an abundance of caution. We agreed in our risk assessment to leave 72 hours between any events at church.
Blessings to you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
