Dear Friends,

In Psalms 37:31, it says "The law of his God is in his heart; None of his steps shall slide". True obedience is from the heart, based on a relationship. Did you spot the "his God" in the above verse? Compare that to Matthew15:8–9, where Jesus says, "These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honour Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’  Jesus is quoting from the Prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 29:13). The Lord's diagnosis is blunt. "But their heart is far from Me".  The Lord is looking for those who seek him with their hearts. They may not be perfect, far from it, but their direction and intention, is one of seeking the Lord with their heart, and keeping His word in their heart. The Lord's promise is then clear, their steps shall not slide, their feet will not slip, regardless of everything happening around.

This Saturday/Sabbath we are re-opening the Great Yarmouth church building for our regular weekly Worship Service for the first time in over 15 months! To celebrate the occasion, those from the Lowestoft church will join the service at the Great Yarmouth Church building. The Worship Service at 11.15am, will follow the Adult, Children and Teen Sabbath Schools, which start at 10am. The Worship Service will also be on Zoom and Facebook. After the service there will be a fellowship lunch, followed by a church district discussion, which will start around 2.30pm. If you are uncomfortable with sharing food during these times, please bring your own lunch.
May the Lord bless and keep you,

Pastor Mark
