12th March, 2021 - News from Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft Seventh-day Adventist Churches

This week many of us have been joining the Discovery Bible Reading training. It will co

ntinue tonight (Friday) at 7pm and will conclude tomorrow with two presentations from 10am to 1pm. We will join this training instead of our normal Friday Night Adult Sabbath School or Family Service tomorrow. The recordings are also available at SEC Media on YouTube. We will still have Children's Sabbath School at 10am on Saturday on our normal Zoom.

Discovery Bible Reading is for everyone. Even if you don't normally read the bible, it is for you. There are 5 simple questions to ask after reading a bible passage.

1) What is new?
2) What surprises you?
3) What don't you understand?
4) What will you obey or apply?
5) What will you share with someone this week?

The Gospel of Mark, the second book in the New Testament, contains 16 chapters packed full with accounts of Jesus' life and words. It is a great place to start, with a friend or family.

Tuesday Great Yarmouth Board at 7pm. All Board Members are strongly encouraged to attend.

Pray for protection of all those serving on the frontline.
Pray for our vulnerable and elderly, especially for Enid Flemming and Eric Baker. Eric is in the Coach House Care Home.
Pray for Paul Andrews and his rehabilitation.
Pray for our young families, children & young people, to stay close to the Lord and each other.
Pray for Phillip Franklin and his mental and physical health.
Pray for David Nichols and his on-going treatment for cancer.
Pray for Christine Matthews as she adjusts to life after the loss of her son.
Pray for those recovering from health problems, especially Kiala Santos and Beverley O'Leary.
Pray for the Victorio family in the final preparations for their mission to the Philippians.
Pray for Ana Nunes for her house move and for her job situation.
Pray for those who have shown interest in the church and for our planning return to our church buildings.
Pray for the leadership of our church, for our Government and for the Queen.

The Victorio family are leaving very soon for their long-term mission trip to the Philippines. They are a self-supporting ministry, working side by side with the South Central Luzon Conference. All expenses will be paid from their own pockets, estimated at £350-£400 per month for a family of five. One-off donations or a monthly commitment, even from as little as £5 per month, will be greatly appreciated.
