We have been a bit quiet with communications lately, but there is a lot happening behind the scenes as we shape up for a big Season '22.
A few quick updates:
Team lists will be published early next week for graded teams (U8/W8 to U16/W16).
Team grades will be confirmed early next week once the SSFA has finalised.
Once teams and grades are confirmed, managers can request training time slots - the request form will be emailed next week.
Teams can start training from 14 March.
Registration is now closed for most age groups, however, we are still looking for:
U6 Boys & Girls
If you know anyone thinking about signing up, please get them to get in touch with Melissa ASAP (firstname.lastname@example.org).
A RECORD YEAR FOR OUR UNDER 6s!!
GRFC will have over 100 kids and 20 teams playing Under 6s this year. It was wonderful to welcome so many new families to the club on Under 6 Day! Click the image below to see more photos... We still have a handful of spots left to complete our teams if anyone is still thinking of playing. It's also not too late to enter full teams!
PRE-ORDER YOUR UNIFORM ONLINE
Skip the queue and order your uniform online. Juniors will need socks and shorts with jerseys supplied by the club. Seniors will also need to buy their jerseys and we have lots of new stock with numbers 2-40. You can collect from the club (or buy in person) from the canteen on Fridays from 4-7 pm when grounds are open.
NEED TO EXCHANGE YOUR SHIRT?
Normally we would have collected all Junior shirts at the end of last season, but Covid kind of mucked it up... If your child needs to swap their shirt for a bigger size, you can bring it down and swap on Fridays from 4-7 pm when grounds are open. For kids in U12-U16, we will need to wait until teams are confirmed to avoid a clash of shirt numbers.

Keeper training with Bobby is back again this season commencing Thursday 17 March from 5.30 - 6.30 pm continuing every Thursday from then until season end, weather permitting. There's no cost involved and it provides an opportunity for participants to practice and improve their particular skill set.
These sessions are for girls and boys 9 years and older, including seniors, who regularly play in goal. it is not designed for those who only keep for half a game every so often. Bob has conducted keeper training for Georges River players over many years. He has been the SSFA Academy coach for some 15 years and also works with the SSFA GSAP and WPL junior keepers.
