Markosia Mailing #72

Welcome to the seventy second edition of our weekly email newsletter, Markosia Mailing. The quickest and easiest way to receive news about our books and graphic novels, as well as new and forthcoming releases.

It's LFCC next weekend, but will Ian remember to schedule next week's Markosia Mailing before he leaves to set up for the con on Thursday? Only time will tell, but we wouldn't bet money on him remembering...

Spotlight On: Ritual

Each week we’ll be turning the spotlight on one of the many quality graphic novels from our extensive back catalogue.

This week it’s the turn of Ritual.

A series of ritualistic murders in the small town of Black Root all have one thing in common: they’re reminiscent of ancient witch trials.

The FBI are on the case and soon realise that a supernatural killer is on the prowl – condemning his victims to diabolical ordeals.

Spotlight On: Away

Each week we’ll be turning the spotlight on one of the many quality graphic novels from our extensive back catalogue.

This week it’s the turn of Away.

An ordinary man is ripped from his family and life time after time and thrust into the multiverse to learn the skills and abilities he needs to save not just our world, but our entire universe from an impossible invading force.

“Swords, sci-fi and the British Fire Service mix it up in this smartly written and beautiful looking time-bending space adventure. Plenty to fall in love with in this book!”
Martin Simmonds, artist on Black Crown’s “Punks Not Dead”

“An 80-page extravaganza from Jon and Grant that marks some of their best work so far with the added bonus of a creative team in Darren and Rob with all of them surfing the same wavelength. Like binge watching Quantum Leap.”
Gary Watson, Comics Anonymous

Upcoming Convention Appearances!

LFCC, London

Markosia will be at Showmasters' LFCC from the 26th – 28th July at Olympia, London. Sam, our convention organiser, will be manning our table in the Comic Zone with some great books for you to browse and buy, titles you might not have seen before and, of course, some fantastic bargains. Writer/Editor GM Jordan will be around all weekend signing and will be happy to look at art portfolios and listen to pitch ideas.

Also at LFCC, Stephen Saleh, Tony Lee and Mariela Malova will be launching their stunning new Markosia book, Dark Lines of London. Last year the Ashcan edition sold out in two days and this is one of those books many people are hotly anticipating (at conventions and events we still get asked if we have copies of the ashcan and when the book will be finished). The creators will be signing the special edition hardback all weekend, while stocks last, and please be aware the hardback will only be available for a limited period of time.

Meanwhile, our EIC, Ian Sharman, will be at the stand for his Orang Utan Comics imprint, whish will be located on the main show floow. Stop by for a chat and check out his books.
