President's Message

Dear all,

We’re now over halfway through the year, and whilst 2020 has proved exceptional to say the least, we’re delighted to see how far we’ve come over the past 6 months.

From our ISC2020 conference back in March, to another edition of the JBBA publication, and our CEBB members portal going live, plus all of our and your various achievements along the way… it’s been fantastic to see!

We have much more planned for the second half of the year and we’re very much looking forward to our continued work and success together on the future of blockchain!

Until next time,
Naseem

About The JBBA
The JBBA provides a forum for authors to share proof of concepts, knowledge transfer, proof of impact, experimentation and experiences across a wide range of industries and technologies in which Blockchain is being deployed. It also publishes original research, thought-leadership opinion pieces, case studies, critical reviews and interviews with key influencers and blockchain/DLT experts from around the globe that advance the common level of monologue within the blockchain/DLT profession.

For more information, get in touch on admin@britishblockchainassociation.org

“The JBBA has an outstandingly streamlined submissions process, the reviewer's comments have been constructive and valuable, and it is outstandingly well produced, presented and promulgated. It is, in my opinion, the leading journal for blockchain research and I expect it to maintain that distinction under the direction of its forward-looking leadership team.”

- Dr Brendan Markey, Towler PhD, University of Queensland, Australia

CEBB Reward and Recognition
Exciting news! We have launched a new 'Reward and Recognition Badge' system for CEBB members who regularly post high-quality, engaging content for the benefit of other members in the Member Portal (also determined by the number of 'likes', 'shares', and comments on the posted content).

The first recognition level is 'Active Member' status (Five posts or more for your first Green Star Badge) which is displayed prominently on your Member Profile page.

BBA Fellowship
An award of the Fellowship is recognition of exceptional achievement and contribution to Blockchain and allied disciplines. The Fellowship demonstrates a commitment to excellence, leadership, advancing standards and best practice, evidenced by a track record of outstanding contribution to the subject of Blockchain or other Distributed Ledger Technologies.

Providing distinction for your achievements, Fellowship is evidenced by the letters ‘FBBA’ after your name. The title of the FBBA recognises your substantial expertise, knowledge and skills in Blockchain and your ongoing commitment. Fellows are expected to be an advocate of the technology and the profession, be an ambassador of the British Blockchain Association, and promote the Organisation’s values and mission.

As a Fellow, you will have opportunities to support the discipline of blockchain through engagement activities on behalf of the BBA. These may include representation on matters within their area of specialism, contributing to thought leadership debates in the media or at conferences and other events or mentoring the future generation of blockchain professionals. The FBBA accolade marks your outstanding achievement and recognises your ongoing contribution to Blockchain.
