President's Message
Dear colleagues
The 7th issue of the JBBA has been published. It would be an understatement to say that the Blockchain is transforming the societal fabric of our lives. At the same time, policymakers and regulators are under increasing pressure to support innovation, while ensuring that the policies are safe, cost-effective, consumer- centred, business-friendly and based on best available evidence.

UK’s Walport Report recommended that distributed ledger technology pilots “should be co-ordinated in a similar fashion to the way that clinical trials are implemented, reported and assessed, in order to ensure uniformity and maximize the rigour of the process.” I am glad that the JBBA has been providing a platform to global blockchain research community to fulfill these objectives of advancing better science.

The trust-able sources of information are more important now than ever before. We are overwhelmed with accessible information, but, unfortunately, not always of examined and scrutinized quality. Scientific consensus and peer-reviewed data is the cornerstone for disseminating trustworthy and reliable knowledge; for which I believe our editors and reviewers carry a tremendous responsibility.
