The Montgomery Art Association is proud to showcase our members' art activities and achievements in this new newsletter. Look for it on the 15th of each month.

Judith Benderson is exhibiting The Mirror and Searching for My Soul in the "International Women's Month" group show at the Friendship Heights Village Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland, through March 20.

Walt Blackwell is having a solo show of multimedia works called "Looking Back, Stepping Forward" at the Yellow Barn Gallery in Glen Echo, Maryland. The show runs April 2-3 with an artist reception April 2, 5-7 pm.

Rosemary Fallon's monoprint, made with a gel plate and acrylic paint, entitled Caution: Climate Change, is in the "MashUp Members Show" at the Pyramid Atlantic Art Studio in Hyattsville, Maryland, through April 17.

Susan Farrer is teaching the "Ageless Expressions" series of four-week classes for people age 50+ at CREATE Arts Center in Silver Spring, Maryland, in March through May.

Paige Friedeman is in the Wheaton Arts Parade Gallery's "Emerge" exhibition, on display at the Westfield Wheaton Mall in Wheaton, Maryland, through April 24.

Jennifer Howard is in the "Color & Light" group show at Gallery B in Bethesda, Maryland from April 6-May 1. Pictured here is her oil painting Whispered.

 

 

Glen Kessler announced the opening of enrollment for the Master Artist Program at The Compass Atelier in Rockville. The comprehensive program only accepts applications every 3 years. Open Houses are being offered on the first Saturday of every month from 10am-12pm to help prospective students learn more. Visit the website or email TheCompassAtelier@gmail.com for more.

Jim Klumpner will be showing his painting #63 in the "Falls Church Arts All Members' Show" at the Falls Church Arts Gallery in Falls Church, Virginia, from March 26-May 8.

 

Margo Lehman has five pieces in the Gallery North Annual Small Works juried exhibition at Gallery North in Edmonds, WA. The show runs through March 31st. If you know anyone in the Seattle area, invite them to go see it!

Alan Rich has three acrylic pour pieces on display at the restaurant 2Fifty Texas BBQ in Riverdale, Maryland.

Martina Sestakova has a solo show of her large-scale abstracts on yupo at the Chesapeake Framing Company in Kensington, Maryland, through March 31.

Tena Turner has a large painting of colorful spring tulips in the Ellicott City Gallery Regional 2022 Juried Art Show. The show runs through March 27.

Lis Zadravec is April's Featured Artist at the Eastside Gallery in Frederick, Maryland, with an artist talk at 3pm on April 2. She is also teaching workshops on colored pencils for Spring & Summer, with registration available at www.LisZadravec.com
