Bemidji-Cass Chapter #46
A Note from our Chapter President
22nd annual Bemidji/Cass Lake Muskie Tournament Results
I’d like to thank Henry Drewes and his staff for allowing our tournament to continue during this Covid-19 pandemic. We had to follow social distancing guidelines, so no award ceremony, no food, no raffles. Basically no gathering over 10 people. I had 10 days to get permits to cover the 3 counties this tournament covers. We decided to keep the early bird rate at $50 adult and $25 youth to make the tournament more affordable during these economic times. 90 total anglers signed up, with 12 being youth entries (a record). We average 105 in past tournaments, with 5-7 youth anglers. 4 fish were caught, with only 1 fish qualifying, Donnie Manz’s 49.5" on Bemidji. The chapter was able to still donate $1,000 to BSU Aquatic Studies program. We also gave away 1 youth lifetime license to a lucky 5-year-old, and will also donate to our local Boy Scout Troop $100. Thanks again to all who participated and fought the weather and small pike. See you next year, hopefully under much better circumstances.
Take care of yourself and as always be respectful of others.
