Dear Friends at CTK,

Over and over again in the book of Revelation, we read the phrase, “He who has an ear, let him hear…” This is meant as both an encouragement and a warning. God is speaking to us. He does this in many different ways. Basically, He is constantly trying to get our attention.

To Abraham, the LORD spoke in visions. With Moses, God appeared in a burning bush. To King David, God spoke through priests and prophets, while Elijah heard the LORD in a still, small whisper.

Today, God speaks in many of these same ways. He speaks through His Word, through His church, and by the Holy Spirit. He speaks in loud and small ways. He gives words of rebuke and words of encouragement. He is basically always speaking to us.

Do you have ears to hear? Is your spirit open to the Holy Spirit? When was the last time you intentionally stopped what you were doing and asked the Lord to reveal himself to you? Through the blood of Jesus Christ, we now have access to the Father so that we can speak with Him any time and in any place. If you have not done this recently, why not?

If not, why not now?

Love to all,
Tim Davis.

“The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servantsthe things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw” (Revelation 1:1-2).
