The Bible gives us the following exhortation: “Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near” (Hebrews 10:24-25).
Being a young church without a building of our own, we have always been good at finding unique ways to meet together. We’ve met in parks, coffee shops, houses, and other rented spaces in order to continually share the gospel of Jesus and to worship together as the body of Christ. Over the past 16 weeks, we have had to be even more creative in order to bring people together during this season of life we find ourselves in.
Moving into summer, we once again find ourselves being creative and exploring new ways in which to function as a church. Here is what is happening over the next couple of months:
We will be doing two “in person” worship services on Sunday mornings at Canby Grove Conference Center, one at 9:00 am and the other at 10:30 am.
We will continue to stream our 10:30 am service on Facebook Live. We will be in a different building this week with much better acoustics (And all God’s people said…).
In Phase One of the counties re-opening, there is a 25-person limit for each service. Starting next week, you will be able to sign-up online to reserve a spot. Please be bold stepping out and signing up. Our team needs to see you… We have missed you all so much!
Social distancing is required for our seating arrangement. However, people from the same households will be able to group their chairs together for worship.
The state is currently requiring people in our county to wear masks. The exceptions are for children under 12 and for people with underlying health conditions. Please bring a mask with you.
Canby Grove has set up hand-sanitizing stations on the walls by each door. The state is asking us to use them as we enter the building.
There are a few spots open this Sunday for our new 9:00 am service. We would love to see you! If you would like to join us, please contact either Matt Greenwood or myself to be added to the list.
CTK, I love you and am thankful for the church I get to shepherd. Thank you for your patience, prayers, faithfulness, and flexibility during this time. Keep on walking in the grace of God!
Love to all,
