Welcome to the Ferndale School District, from the Fickeisen Family
The Fickeisen family welcomes families to the Ferndale School District with a start-of-school guide greeting as we prepare to enter the 2019-2020 school year.
The first day of the 2019-2020 school year for students is Wednesday, September 4th.
On Tuesday, September 3rd, school buildings will open at 10 am so staff can attend an all-district staff breakfast meeting in the morning.
Superintendent Quinn Asks Ferndale Staff to Focus on Relationships
The entire district staff is gathering together on Tuesday, September 3rd for an all-district breakfast meeting ahead of the 2019-2020 school year. District staff will discuss FerndaleCARES, a shared commitment to Social & Emotional Learning, positive climate and healthy relationships.
School Meals Online Payment and Management Now Streamlined Via Skyward Family Access
With the district's food services moving in-house beginning this school year, Skyward Family Access is the new home for online payments and management.
Committee Begins Work on Ferndale High School Design
The Design Advisory Committee will (1) research best practices for high school facilities; (2) solicit community input; (3) share their own expertise; and (4) review and provide feedback on design ideas.
Community Oversight Committee Seeking Alternate Member
The Community Bond Oversight Committee has announced that it is looking for another alternate member, as a previous alternate member has moved to a voting role to replace a departing member who is moving out of the district. Applications are due on or before September 6th, 2019.
