New Building Principals Announced at Cascadia and Central Elementary Schools

The Ferndale School District is pleased to announce the new building principals at Cascadia Elementary School and Central Elementary School.

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Kelly Parsons to Cascadia and Mr. Joel Francik to Central!

Former Cascadia Elementary Principal Kellie Larrabee accepted the position of Executive Director for Teaching & Learning for the Ferndale School District while former Central Elementary Principal Georgia Dellinger accepted a district-level position mentoring new principals and serving as a member of the planning team for the new Ferndale High School.

Key Approval Granted as Ferndale School District Moves Forward with Bond Project


The Ferndale School District has been unanimously approved to use General Contractor/Construction Manager, or GC/CM process for the design and construction of the new Ferndale High School.

School Meals in Ferndale: New Leadership, New Focus, Same Great Service


The School District has decided to move away from contracting with an outside provider and, instead, bring the food service program in-house. That is a change that will save the District money and give more control over service and quality.

Ferndale Grocery Outlet Honored as 2018-2019 Ferndale School District Business of the Year


Ferndale Grocery Outlet and owners Larry and Beth Brown were recognized as the 2018-2019 Ferndale School District Business of the Year. Each June, the district honors a business that has made outstanding contributions to Ferndale Schools during the past year.

Reminder to Vote - August 6 Primary Election


Election Day is August 6 for the Primary Election and the district encourages all members of the community to vote. Ballots can be returned to an official ballot drop box until 8 pm on Election Day. Ballots can also be mailed (no stamp required) and must be postmarked no later than August 6.
