YouTube Channel
I’ve always been interested in making movies.  Just ask my family, who had to endure my embarrassing attempts at home movies when I was a kid.  Ah, the memories! I thought it would be fun to combine my childhood interest with something about which I am passionate: photography.

Last month, I started a YouTube channel focused on teaching tips and techniques I use in landscape and nature photography.  I take viewers out in the field with me, which is usually around the beautiful state of Vermont, to apply the tips in real life scenarios.  I’ve had a lot of fun learning how to produce these videos and really enjoy sharing my knowledge to encourage anyone (especially women) to explore the outdoors through photography.

Please take a moment to join me on my adventures (and misadventures!) by checking out my channel, subscribing, and sharing it with anyone you think may enjoy the videos.  Subscriber numbers help a lot with getting my videos out to more viewers, so I thank you for your support!

Upcoming Trips:
November 1-11, 2018

I am super excited to announce that I am partnering with GrassTrack Safaris and Earth Ark Travel to host a photography and wildlife safari into the wilds of Botswana!  On this fully-outfitted, mobile camping safari, we will chase the best light while exploring the Khwai River Region, Savute Area, and Chobe National Park.

At this dry time of year, we expect to see an abundance of wildlife, including elephants, lions, hippopotami, giraffe, zebra, and leopards congregating near the water ways.  The opportunity to experience these incredible creatures in their natural habitats makes this a trip of a lifetime.

Please email me if you are interested in learning more about the Botswana Safari and feel free to share the info to anyone you think may be interested.

2018 Exhibits

I have two upcoming photography exhibits scheduled so far for 2018.  The first will be at Wild Roots Restaurant in Royalton, VT, where I will have several pieces on display and for sale.  This relatively new restaurant is owned by a young couple who prioritize exceptional food using locally sourced products.  Come support your local farms and small businesses and enjoy a night out! My work will be exhibited starting in mid-April.

The second exhibit will feature my Vermont photography at the Norwich Public Library from September 1st -October 31st.  We will have an opening reception, so please stay tuned for details!  I'd love to see you there.

I was lucky to meet this young moose while traveling in the Yukon last winter.  "Hello, Mr. Moose" was chosen to be featured in the National Wildlife Federation's 2018 "Trees for Wildlife" card line (coming in September 2018).

NWF partners with schools, local governments, and non-profits to plant a native tree for each pack of cards sold.  This program helps keep our wild places wild and also involves kids in learning about how to protect our natural world.  Thank you for supporting the National Wildlife Federation!
Speaking of kids, I was honored and humbled to learn that a student of my friend, Becca Karp, at The Derryfield School used my Aurora Borealis photos as inspiration for her landscape watercolor project.  Inspiring kids to find fascination in the natural world is one of the greatest achievements I can imagine for my photography!
I continue to be a contributing writer for Improve Photography, a premiere, learn photography website for beginner to advanced photographers.  I publish articles every two weeks.  Please share this link with anyone you think would be interested in being part of this great photography community.  Thanks!
