You inspire me, I inspire you...
I love the way inspiration works. I also love how I'm not really sure how inspiration works. ;) It's a little bit mysterious, or at least creative people like to pretend it is.
I love how I'll read a book you recommended and it will make me think, then I'll write a blog post about that and someone will read it and pick up that book then think their own thoughts and pass the book on. No two of us see the world the same way and when we share with each other, it opens us up to new thoughts and new ideas.
So surround yourself with inspiring people, heartfilled art, and God's truth. You'll be amazed by what you find.
Every day is a gift,
Kate
Three things that have inspired me lately...
1. The Odd Life of Timothy Green. This movie is quite quirky and a little magical (in a Peter Pan sort of way), but the sweet family story and adoption theme melt my heart every time I watch it. <3 There's also a lot to learn about good storytelling from this movie.
2. Himalayas by Scott Mulvahill. I have waited long and not-so-very-patiently for this album to come out, and it just released today. :D I love this artist's style and heartfelt lyrics that tell a story. My favorite song right now is probably "Move and Shake". ;)
3. This grain-free apple coffee cake recipe. My family went gluten-free for health reasons several months ago, and I've loved how this recipe has enabled me to still make us a treat occasionally. I just skip the walnuts and melt the butter for the topping (instead of softening it), and it turns out amazing!
