It's Hard to Believe It's Here
Several months ago we announced that I would be taking a summer-long sabbatical, and that time has finally arrived. This will be my last weekend before leaving Saturday, June 1st, and I would LOVE to see you and say goodbye. I realize it's Memorial Day weekend, and some will be away, but if you're in town, please come out to church Saturday night at 6:00 or Sunday morning at 9:00 or 11:00.
As I've shared in recent weeks, part of the excitement and the confidence I have in leaving for the summer is the incredible team we have here at Adventure. Our Staff Team and Leadership Team will serve you well in my absence. Please call upon them if you have a need, a prayer request, a desire for a visit, or whatever else might arise. They are just as called to shepherd this church family as I am, and I know they will do a great job while I'm away.
Mark your calendars for September 7th, 11:00 AM! There will be a "Welcome Back BBQ" for our family at the GAP in Yuba City that day. Stay tuned to the church bulletin and Facebook page for further announcements.
This weekend, I will be sharing various thoughts centered around many of the "Final Greetings" that we see in the epistles. So we'll start in 1 Corinthians and reference a few others as well. The service will be a little shorter than usual to provide time to greet as many as possible. We'll close with a time of prayer for me and my family, led by the Leadership Team. I'm so excited that my son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Kelsi, are able to be with us for this special weekend. I hope to see you.
As it is Memorial Day weekend, we will also have a special time to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and pray for family and friends.
Pastor Jordan will take over the "Weekly Update" duties while I'm away, so be on the lookout for his emails every Friday. I'm excited to hear the wonderful ways God will continue to bless in the next 13 weeks. God bless you, Adventure Church . . . . I love you, and I love being your pastor . . . .
In His Service,
Pastor Greg Mansur (PG!)
