First, thank you to all that were able to make it to the Little Falls Cheese Festival this past weekend! The event enjoyed a record number of visitors and beautiful weather. Every vendor I have spoken with has raved about the event, saying it was their BEST sales day anywhere, ever!

The Canadian group, CORPUS, performed Les Moutons twice during the day, meandering amongst the crowd and along the length of the festival. Each time they passed by our booth I heard the bell before I saw the performers. I was giddy, to say the least!

Having heard feedback from other vendors, I have since realized the performance of Les Moutons was as much for the farmer/cheesemakers as it was for the crowds. My fellow shepherds were as smitten as I!

JFF Takes First in Multiple Categories

The American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) recently held their annual convention, this time in Syracuse. Cheesemakers from across the US were invited to enter their goat cheese competition, and we decided to throw our (cheese) hat into the ring.

Our Goat Milk Feta and Garlic-Marinated Feta both took first place in their divisions, while our Sweet Fig Chevre and Honey-Rosemary with Sea Salt took first and second place respectively, in their category. We were excited to get such rave reviews!

The Week Ahead

Although the Clinton Farmer’s Market is now closed for the season, there are still three ways you can buy direct from us. The online farmer’s market Local Foods Mohawk Valley features an impressive list of vendors. Order by midnight on Sunday for pickup on Tuesday evening. Our online store is open for home delivery (Wednesday delivery only) and our farm store is always open daily, 10am-6pm.

Thank you, as always. If there is anything we can do for you, please let us know!
