Hi <<First Name>>,
September is one of the best months on Cape Cod with comfortable weather, less traffic, more room at the bea ches and shorter lines at restaurants. It's also the last opportunity to catch our final outdoor art shows of the season featuring the original artwork of 14 local Cape Cod artists.
In addition to Thursday and Friday, August 30 and 31, we will be exhibiting Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend, September 1 and 2, in front of the 1869 Schoolhouse Museum. On September 8 and 9, we wrap up our outdoor summer season on the lawn of the Eastham Public Library as part of Windmill Weekend festivities. If you are in Eastham we would love to have you stop by for a visit and see our artwork.
Our partnership with the Cape Cod National Seashore has been a great success so far this year and there is still more to come! The Seashore has extended the Eastham Painters Guild exhibits in the Visitor Center gallery into the month of September. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, September 1, from 1 - 3 PM for this bonus show of all new artwork by Guild members inspired by the Seashore. The exhibit will be open during regular Visitor Center hours and will hang through September 30.
Visiting artists from places such as Pennsylvania, Maryland, California and New York City have also joined Guild members in plein air painting the Seashore this summer. These artists took advantage of the opportunity to paint with local artists familiar with National Seashore locations on the Cape. Check our website for the remainder of our CCNS plein air painting schedule which runs through October 30.
