H2020 cluster meeting brings together European energy transition pioneers

Collaboration is key in transitioning to renewable energy in Europe! Sixteen Horizon 2020 projects working on Renewable Energy Systems (RES) met late last year to exchange ideas on activities and plans to create a brighter future for Europe. The meeting involved projects such as SONNET, SMARTEES, WinWind, and PROSEU - all initiatives where ICLEI Europe plays an active role. ICLEI Europe looks forward to deepening collaboration within the energy transition community in 2021 and will continue to energise cities and stakeholders in the process. Read more>>

Just a click away: A fitness tracker for CO2 footprint

The SONNET research team joined forces with Swiss electricity utility IWB for the launch of the “enerjoy" app and ran a 500-person trial to test its effectiveness in tracking daily CO2  footprints. The app helps track the impact of food choices and mobility choices, collected to show your overall CO2 footprint. Suggestions for alternative, more carbon-friendly choices, motivating messages, and in-app challenges help people measure their impact and see the direct results of behavioural change. Read more >>
