Devotion with Joy as focus
Advent is a special time in our year. It is when all the decorations go up, we usually sing Christmas carols, and there are many a celebration between friends and family. It is also a time of anticipation or active waiting.

This week our devotion takes a closer look at actively waiting during advent with a special focus on JOY. With so many references to JOY in the Bible, it soon becomes clear how important this advent virtue is in the ministry of grace. We shape our awareness of Joy during this Christmas by contrasting it with Happiness. Read along in Zephaniah 3:14-20, Philippians 4:4-7, Luke 2:46-55 and Psalm 4:6-8 as our minister leads our second Advent devotion for 2021. May God's JOY be a gift to you and through you to our community!

This recording was done at the Worship in our garden gathering that took place at 107 Centreway Rd, Orewa on the morning of December 12, 2021. Rain chased us out of the garden and into the sanctuary, but it was a lovely gathering.
There will be no prayer meeting this week as I have a conflicting appointment. We continue to pray wherever we find ourselves.

May God bless us all as we journey together. Merry Christmas

We continue our Advent series by taking a closer look at JOY. Join our minister as we share this devotion. Read along in Zephaniah 3:14-20, Philippians 4:4-7, Luke 2:46-55 and Psalm 4:6-8 as our minister leads our third Advent devotion for 2021. May Advent be a magical time of expectation and JOY in your life!!
