EuroPACE has been placed in the European spotlight this month as a successful innovative financing model to boost investments in sustainable home renovation. EuroPACE was featured as one of the best practices in the Staff Working Document accompanying the communcation on the Renovation Wave. |
|
|
|
On the second page, EuroPACE is presented as an example of financing schemes with "high potential of scaling up building renovation through the use of innovative financing mechanisms."
|
|
|
The European Commission featured the EuroPACE project in the CORDIS platform, alongside other successful projects. An article "A home-based financing model to boost investments in sustainable home renovation" highlighted the project's potential to help achieve Europe's climate goals.

Re-watch the session on Effective Home Renovation Programmes
|

|
|
On the 20th of October, the digital session ' Effective Home Renovation Programmes' took place at the European Week of Regions and Cities. Speakers focused on people-centric, holistic solutions with the ability to catalyse the uptake of home renovation and stimulate urban regeneration post COVID-19. The keynote address was offered by:

EuroPACE Leader City Update

Leader City Workshop with Mouscron, Belgium
|
|
|
|
On the 6th of October, a Leader City Workshop took place in Namur, Belgium with the city of Mouscron, several representatives of the Walloon Region, the Walloon Social Credit Company and experienced lawyers.
|
|
|
|
As partners were able to organize a physical gathering for this Leader City Workshop - respecting all COVID-19 regulations and precautions - both the legal and fiscal aspects of EuroPACE replication and the set-up of the OSS model were presented by GNE Finance and discussed by partners during the day. Valuable insights and knowledge were shared whilst exploring the Mouscron/Walloon home renovation landscape.

Leader City Workshop with Valencia, Spain
|
|
|
|
On the 19th and 21st of October, another EuroPACE Leader City Workshop with Valencia took place online, welcoming representatives from the City and Regional level, as well as representatives of property administrators and a representative for the municipality of Gandia, among others.
|
|
|
Building upon the expertise acquired in Spain with the HolaDomus and Opengela programmes, the participants explored ways to offer a similar solution in the Valencia region. As GNE Finance and Valencia are also partners in the H2020-funded Sav€ the Homes project, relevant synergies with the EuroPACE project will be further developed when it comes to affordable financing and effective home renovation support services. |
