Picking Up Pace in 2019
EuroPACE Talk about social and economic benefits of renovation, recording of the webinar on innovative financing solutions, and more.
Welcome to 2019! The EuroPACE team has hit the ground running. We are finalizing the market analysis of the selected countries: Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Spain. Our research team, led by CASE, is assessing local market conditions and potential demand for EuroPACE programmes.
In parallel, we are beginning to interview potential Leader Cities and will eventually select four by the end of the year.
In Olot, our team is working on the ground to launch the pilot this spring. Specifically, we hosted local experts for a workshop to develop a set of eligible measures financed by the programme and will convene another workshop to finalize the outreach campaigns later this month.
In the meanwhile, the we are also developing an IT platform behind the pilot.
Lastly, we are beginning to plan the 1st EuroPACE Summit to be held in Brussels this June. Stay tuned!

What are some social, economic and health benefits of energy efficiency renovation?
Energy efficiency improvements can impact the health of vulnerable citizens in a very important way; reduced respiratory disease symptoms and lower rates of excess winter mortality in cold climates are the most prominent benefits, as well as a decrease in mental health problems linked to energy poverty. Home renovation has the power to bring a considerable number of Europeans out of energy poverty, lowering their energy bills and improving their indoor environment...continue reading
