EuroPACE holds its first Leader City Workshop with Lisboa E-Nova, Energy and Environment Agency of Lisbon

Exploring ways to implement EuroPACE in Lisbon, Portugal
An essential part of the EuroPACE project is the scaling up of the model that has been piloted in Olot by involving other high-potential Leader Cities. To this end, several European Leader Cities have been selected:  Lisbon (PT, in collaboration with E-Nova), Porto (PT, in collaboration with AdEPorto), Valencia (ES) and Mouscron (BE).

On the 22nd of July, part one of the first Leader City Workshop took place, focusing on Lisbon (Portugal), in collaboration with E-Nova, Energy and Environment Agency of Lisbon. Participants from different backgrounds, such as City Council specialists, lawyers and housing experts met online and brought their financial and legal expertise to the table in the first of a two-part workshop, discussing potential avenues and innovative ideas to implement EuroPACE's accessible financing mechanism in Lisbon. After the conclusion of a fruitful workshop, parties agreed to continue pursuing some of the creative alternatives proposed by the participants.

This first event kicks off a series of several workshops with the 4 selected Leader Cities. As the next workshops are currently already being planned and prepared, we are looking forward to a string of insightful discussions in the coming months.
