A new school year is almost here and The RCR Museum is getting ready to share educational experiences with your students.  We have plenty of different materials available on our website that are freely accessible as well as bookable programs and resources to support classroom learning.

Digital Education

Book your access to any of our three Digital Education Programs. These are resources where you can pick and choose what will be used in your classroom. They are packed full of activities, discussion topics, and education material. These programs are designed based on the Ontario curriculum in a variety of subjects, and lesson plans are provided.  Contact the museum to book.

Online Guided Tours

Want to share the museum with your class? Online guided tours are topic specific tours that provide an in-depth exploration of specific areas of the galleries. These programs can be organized via a variety of web conferencing systems and are 45min long with time for Q and A. Contact the museum to book. Only available on Tuesdays.
The Petawawa Cup is on display in our First World War gallery. This artifact can be used to tell many, very different, stories.
One artifact can tell a variety of stories. You can look at the sporting history of The RCR, their time in Halifax, or as a window into the Halifax Explosion.  This 1912 sporting trophy was likely stored in Wellington Barracks in Halifax and remained there when The Regiment left to fight in the First World War. Wellington Barracks was one of the many buildings badly damaged in the Halifax Explosion.
If you have any questions or would like to book any programs please contact

While there is no admission rate, the museum does appreciate an honourarium in lieu of administrative fees.  The museum can provide a Letter of Acknowledgment for the honourarium.
