160+ Attend Listening Session

After weeks of coal dust blowing into nearby neighborhoods, We Energies, along with MGE and WPPI Energy, the minority owners of the newer coal plant in Oak Creek, agreed to attend a listening session hosted by the Clean Power Coalition. Concerned residents packed the room, speaking out about the health issues they've experienced and the need for We Energies to transition from coal to clean energy as quickly as possible. Keep Reading

Doctors Speak Out on Coal

On March 21st, the Clean Power Coalition hosted an event where doctors, experts, and local residents were invited to share information regarding coal dust and its heath effects. Dr. Michael Ganz, a local asthma specialist, explained that coal dust can aggravate respiratory conditions such as asthma. Dr. Behrmann, a pediatrician, stated that children are particularly vulnerable.
