Air monitoring fundraiser kicks off in Madison
On May 12th, protesters in Madison called on their utility to go coal-free. Madison Gas and Electric gets almost 20% of its power from the Elm Road plant, the newer of two coal plants at the Oak Creek complex.
The Clean Power Coalition supported this event and kicked off our air monitoring fundraiser there. An Oak Creek resident came to Madison for the rally and shared coal dust samples from her home.

$1,600 raised towards independent air monitor

The Environmental Accountability Group is fundraising to purchase a portable, independent air monitor to be used around the coal plant. We've raised $1,600 so far but we can't do it alone. Click below to read the full story and donate!
